Privacy policy

The short version

Wait Until is local-first. Everything you add — your countdown location, birthdays and anniversaries — is stored only in your own browser’s local storage. We do not have an account system, we do not receive your personal events, and we cannot see them.

What stays on your device

• Your chosen country (used to select relevant public dates).
• Any birthdays or anniversaries you add.

Clearing your browser storage removes this data permanently. It is never transmitted to our servers.

Location detection

To choose an initial country we use approximate signals only: a coarse country supplied by our edge network with each request (read once, never stored or logged), with your device settings as a fallback. We do not request or store precise GPS coordinates, and we never show your IP address or technical geolocation details.

Cookies

Wait Until itself does not set any cookies. Our hosting and security infrastructure (Cloudflare) may set a strictly necessary security cookie named __cf_bm as part of its bot-management protection. It exists solely to tell legitimate visitors apart from automated abuse, is not used for advertising, analytics or cross-site tracking, and is never read by Wait Until itself.

Analytics and advertising

If we enable analytics or advertising in future, it will be limited to aggregate, privacy-respecting measurement (for example Google Analytics 4) and clearly disclosed here before it goes live. We will never sell personal data.
